Got the leisure and afternoon tea voucher.
Want ti escape and chill? I highly recommend this.
They have dogs behind the spa reception!!! We nearly didnt bother with the facilities, we are dog people so that was the best greeting to us.
Also if like me you like to do something a bit different, there is an outdoor big chess set and draughts set on the grounds - what a laugh.
Just watch for the midgies and the twisty narrow roads.

Really nice Sunday lunch with perfect service.

The Sunday lunch food was delicious but we were very disappointed to see that the itison deal price of £34 that we had paid was the exact same price as on the menu so there was no saving. The deal had been advertised at £50 full price. In fact when you add the isison service charge we actually paid more than if we had just booked direct with the hotel.
It would have been a good deal if dessert or drinks had been included but we only got one course in the deal.

Well appointed restaurant, helpful staff and excellent food.

The food was excellent but the cost of the voucher was £34 supposedly a £16 reduction. However on arriving at the restaurant we discovered we would only have been charged £34 if we didn’t have a voucher.
The restaurant and bar could have been a bit warmer.

Staff very nice and helpful
The Sunday lunch was nice but rather small side portions , not as generous as the photographs, on the add.

We were lucky enough to use vouchers which enabled us to have main courses at Sunday lunch. Sadly, starters and deserts were disappointingly very expensive.

No due to the above reason. There were 3 vouchers for 6 adults and we would order a child's meal. The restaurant manager did not take the call but I was told that the Sunday Roast finished at 3pm but started again at5pm. therefore I made a booking for 5.30pm. Obviously there was a breakdown in communication. We were therefore trying to find a reasonable resolution but were only offered the a la carte menu at voucher cost, or cancel booking and come at a later date and also the Hotel Manager was off until Tuesday. This was not feasible as our 3 night stay finished in the morning. I eventually was able to discuss the situation with the duty manager and a comprise was found. Had he not been so dismissive, this resolution would have been found much earlier and we would not have experienced the embarrassment and angst which spoiled our evening.
We have had several stays at Forest Hills but this weekend was further blighted by the swimming pool being out of commission for the duration of our stay. There was no prior warning given or any small gesture made in recognition of the disappointment of guests non -availability of the pool.
In light of the above, sadly this is a negative review.

Classic Sunday roast sharing platter. Delightful selection of vegetables. Garden restaurant overlooks the Loch and a beautifully landscaped garden. Excellent value with the voucher.
