Great overnight stop

Booked with the welcome drink, late checkout & wine in room voucher.
Asked for room with shower (no over bath combination) and was given great room (61) on ground floor facing garden. Check in was quick from reception staff who had noted our request.
Bar staff were chatty & pleasant and had welcome drink too by log fire.
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with quality ingredients. Breakfast finishes at 0930 so we went at 0915 to let those going on tours clear the dining room. Food was replenished almost immediately so didn’t leave until after ten.
Will definitely return.
Only negative issue was that a lot of items were not available in The Coach House or bar and in the end we skipped dinner and filled up on breakfast as we had a long drive to Gairloch the following day. Would not put us off going back.
Definitely not a good choice of hotel!

Will never return to this totally outdated hotel. The smell of cooking hits you as soon as you enter.’ Nothing like the adverts seen on TV the swimming pool is actually in another hotel down the street, totally misleading! Needs refurbished urgently. Welcome drink was like mouthwash. Complimentary wine was cheap red wine (no choice). Don’t think many children would stay at this hotel therefore I was surprised that the cereals on offer at breakfast was Coco Pops Ricicles and Corn Flakes. We had £40/each dinner allowance but didn’t even go for dinner as the smell of cooking put us off. Car park was full and it was really hard finding a space, when I complained to reception they advised to park at the railway station!
Mostly coach tours use this hotel but i certainly would not recommend.
Lovely, enjoyable stay at Fishers hotel.

I took my mother for 2 night stay. Room was clean we ate in pub both nights. The pub is athatched to hotel, food was nice and staff very friendly.
My mother uses a walking frame and I use 2 crutches, we are both disabled.
I found the hotel breakfast experience horrendous and embarrassing! Area was absolutely not set up for disabled people. Flat area into restaurant was closed off, I presume because of a damaged roof? The way in was down a good few steps, which we clearly could not do!
I had to move obstacles myself to get in using flat area. Then the real nightmare began!!! Most of the breakfast was self service, despite having to ditch a crutch and hop round collecting food for 2, not 1 member of staff offered to help. At 1 point 2 staff members stood by the fruit counter watching me struggle to get 2 coffees from machine. I took 1 back to table, hopped back for the other only to see them cleaning coffee machine. They had clearly watch me struggle yet still no offer of help. I'd advise ANYONE with a disability to give this hotel a miss!!!
Very pleasant stay.

Basic but clean, good base for touring.

The room was huge with comfortable bed, furniture basic but adequate
A typical 'old fashioned ' hotel.
