Aw service, took 40minutes to get the menus and then food came with missing things. E.g no egg in burger and the chicken had no haggis. Then the fish and chips looked like it was a half eaten portion f om a other table.

Been a customer of the balgarth frequently o er the last 10-15 years, saw it extend and modernise. Was always a great place for food and atmosphere, but unfortunately this time around just wasn't up to the standard I was always used to. Couple of mistakes in our food order, and very unexperienced staff who just had no idea on how to deal with the mistakes.
We did eventually get someone who knew what they were doing to take our complaints, and thankfully gave us a round of our drinks off the final bill. Such a shame as I always enjoyed it before.

Great choice on the Itison special menu and the food and portions sizes were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive although the restaurant was very busy.

Staff friendly and welcoming great service. The menu had plenty of choice for both the starters and mains. Food was hot,well presented, good portio size and most of all tasty.
Nice atmosphere and a nice run out into the Ayrshire countryside.

Lovely hotel but unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food.
Food courses for both of us were served on cold dishes resulting on food quickly turning cold not tasting great.
It was such a shame as we were so looking forward to our lunch which was recommended by friends.
Lovely place to take friends, family for lunch, dinner or a celebration.

Had a lovely afternoon and lunch at Balgarth Pines with my friend. The venue was lovely and bright and spotlessly clean. Staff were welcoming and very attentive. Noted they had a beautiful outside garden also with plenty of seating and pkay area fir children. Very well thought out and looked after.
