A really relaxing time

I read the reviews for this hotel - and they were shocking! This hotel is nothing like that. A bit tired but the hotel are aware of this. Public areas were pleasant and relaxing, breakfast was really comprehensive and freshly cooked; bar food excellent and catered well to my gluten intolerance.
Staff were lovely and we would be glad to go back.
Very enjoyable and I am already recommended this place to my family and friends

We have stayed multiple times a year for 3 years running & this last visit (fri 22nd may) was the worst. Check in took almost 1 hour & after standing their heavily pregnant for that long we were given the wrong room & had to come back to reception & waot again to habe the error rectified. Nothing offered for the almost 2 hour loss of trip due to this. Check in here is always quite lengthy but this was ridiculous

Asked to check in online for a fast check-in. However, we still had to wait 25 minutes to fully check in again at the hotel reception. Unhelpful and downright rude staff. Breakfast was a buffet style affair with low quality food that was either gone or congealed under the the lamps. Our room was obscenely hot despite the window being open and two fans (one provided and one brought from home) running the whole stay. The dinner option again a buffet is overpriced, and the woodshed bars opening hours are not set and close at 9pm. The whole hotel was also roasting perhaps that's why the staff were so horrible?
Good sized rooms

We were impressed by the size of the room. It was lovely and warm when we arrived. We used the facilities in the hotel including the sauna and pool. Food was average we only had the breakfast menu. I would recommend this hotel as it is walking distance to fishing, bike tracks and the town.

Hotel is a little way out of Aviemore. However, it is close to good walking a hiking trails. Our room was well equipped for a disabled person but a stool in the shower would have been useful. The pool and spa was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We had dinner each night which was adequate. Breakfast was tasty and hot. Overall, I would stay there again.

Reception area/restaurant was exceptional. Staff were so friendly and helpful.
Rooms bit outdated and in need of some repairs and redecorated.
Woodshed bar a is a great asset and very nice to sit there to have a drink. Friendly staff again.

We were both very happy with our stay couldn't fault anything staff were very good and its a great place for kids

Staff excellent. Lounge excellent. Area brilliant.
There was no accomodation for an adults only period in the swimming pool. Even an hour first thing in the morning would have been better. Quality of food at Breakfast poor. Full of sugar, luke warm. Their Pizza from the wood shack poor. Lttle options for small eaters re the buffet.
The room shocking. First room refused. Second room for a disabled person quite a walk to reception. Shabby. No facility to put your toileteries. Requires shelving to be installed. We had to put ours on the floor!!
No toilet brush!! I accepted there was no room service available. Shower facility good.
There should be some sort of compensation for having to tolerate this accomodation.
