Not the star rating hotel it reports to be, won’t return.

Rooms are tired & need a refresh. Whiskey bar good & Restaurant food ok, however beware of the discretionary tips in small writing added to your final bill as we had already tipped during service. Check out was a calamity with my bill reading over £300 more than it should have been & we are still not sure how they came up with the final bill amount, poor explanation & little in the way of apology.
Wonderful relaxing stay.

A lovely hotel. Almost everything was really good. Nice cosy rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The only reasons I have indicated 4 rather than 5 out of 5 is as follows: the restaurant only offered 1 choice of vegetarian main course for dinner and it was exacy the same vegetarian meal on offer for dinner for both of our nights stay there. A different option on day 2 would have been better. We were also disappointed at the service and food provided for breakfast on our first morning. It took 50 minutes from ordering for our cooked food to arrive at our table. The food that eventually arrived was very overcooked and portion size was very small - my scrambled egg was about a tablespoon size! And I could not even cut my potato scone as it was rock hard. We have stayed at Craigellachie before and never felt that breakfast was scrimped on and our breakfast was perfect on day 2. I do not know what went wrong on our first morning but it was a disappointment.
Lovely couple of days at the Craigellachie

Was slightly worried about the "cosy double" room but there was plenty room and a comfy bed. Staff were great. Food was lovely. The young lad in the Quaich bar was so knowledgeable and a delight to speak to. Really enjoyed our couple of days there.

The hotel is great, rooms lovely, breakfast good, dinner very tasty, whisky bar has a great coal fire that they had on.
It was a bit chilly in open places but that was explained as they'd been close over Christmas
I'd recommend to all to stay here and enjoy being in the Highlands
Very friendly & welcoming. Dogs made very welcome too.

We had the most wonderful experience at The Craigellachie. It far exceeded our expectations will definitely return. The hotel is tastefully decorated & very clean. Our room was beautiful it had lovely views too. Complementary teas, coffee & shortbread. I loved the fact they have their own vodka, whisky, gin & tonic you can drink at either of their bars. The whisky bar is amazing they have over 700 bottles to choose from. The bar tender is so passionate & knowledgeable about all the whiskies well worth booking a whisky tasting. All the staff were so lovely & friendly. We dined there too, the food was delicious. I love how all the produce was locally sourced. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
