Freezing

Lovely location. Lodge a bit dated. Bathroom absolutely freezing. Double bed not placed very well in the sloped ceiling room. Poor bedside light. Had an issue with the log burner filling the room with smoke. Reported this when leaving and received no calls. Very pricey to bring a dog, at £50 per dog per stay. Won’t be returning.

Cold in a cosy cabin

Stated at cosy cabin there was a mix up when we arrived so cabin was cold - that was apologised for and ok - these things happen but heating turned off on our last night during the night so cabin was freezing ! Not very cosy ! When I mentioned to desk assistant on check out she wasn’t really fussed and just said do you want to speak to a manager about it … not the best.
The cabin was well equipped though for self catering cooking etc
Great family stay

Thus hotel offers loads of activities for families . There is so much to do and also the hotel had amazing entertainment for the children including a mob magician / acrobats / a children’s mini zoo - quiz night and ceilidh dancing as well as outdoor adventure fun . However it was extremely busy while we were there with folks queuing for breakfast and evening meals and the hotel running out of items on the menu . Staffing shortages were apparent . At check out there was confusion with the bill .

So sad to see Crieff Hydro deteriorate in such a way.
Check in shambles to start, rude receptionist, kept waiting in freezing cold reception followed by endless queue to check in. Mix up with our dates.
Allocated room freezing cold with windows left wide open - and bathroom door hanging off.
We checked out after 30 minutes as it was just unacceptable. Won’t be back. I’ve already asked Itison for a refund - but no response.

Very disappointing

Very disappointed in our Christmas trip to Crieff hydro. We had been there from 10am for our Santa experience but didn’t get access to our room until after 5pm. There were not many activities to do with our 3 year old during this long wait.
We could not book a restaurant for dinner until much later into the evening and by this point we had to abandon dinner due to the noise levels which upsetting for our child.
The kind waitress allowed us to take our dinner back to our room.
The following morning at breakfast, the service staff couldn’t be less bothered. They walked us round the dining hall twice looking for somewhere to sit us. They weren’t aware of what tables they had.
We could not eat the breakfast as it was too greasy.

Lovely hotel with plenty to do for all of the family. Spacious and clean rooms and great service. Food was also lovely. Very grateful for the itison deal allowing us to enjoy an overnight stay, Santa and Panto for an excellent price.

Took my wife and daughter on a trip to Crieff Hydro staying at the Culcrieff lodges. They were spectacular. The hotel and staff are amazing. We also did the panto and Santa's grotto which were very entertaining and kid loved it. Plenty on offer here all day amd night. Will be back in future.
