Although limited spa facilities, the wonderful facial and massage made up for it. We left the treatment area totally relaxed with glowing skin. At the restaurant, the menu had a good selection from which to choose and the two courses were delicious. All the staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with at Houstoun House Hotel. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Elemis facial was so good, I didn't want to get off the bed. Pool, sauna and steam room changing rooms were clean. Only thing I would say is that the loungers around the pool are quite uncomfortable.

I had the 55 minutes body massage + spa day at the Macdonald Houstoun House. The massage was good, well done, and relaxing.
Then I could use the swimming pool, showers, sauna and steam room, on my own time. It was nice and there was enough room for everyone on that day.
I have 3 (small) negative points:
- lockers were difficult to operate. I tried 2 lockers, the first one had its lock broken and would not lock at all (number 41 in the male changing room), and the second one seemed to work, but I could just "force" the lock opened by pushing on it (number 39 in the male changing room). Nothing was stolen or anything, just the lockers don't seem very well maintained.
- the restaurant is in the hotel building, so separate from the Vital building where the swimming pool/spa is. You'd need to change and walk outside to go to the restaurant, and return later (if desired).
- the provided robe was rough and used, its belt was broken.

Party of four people, welcoming atmosphere, pool area very clean and not busy . We all had Elemis spa treatments and found therapists excellent. We all came away feeling pampered, relaxed and happy with our trip to Houstoun house spa day. Only thing that would improve on was maybe soft drink after spa treatments… there was water available. Throughly enjoyed by us all . Thank you to our fantastic therapists .

Arriving at location, hotel looked lovely, outside of spa needs some touch ups but staff were friendly, treatments were great. Food was over priced for what it was but it was nice.

Spent a couple of hours enjoying the pool, sauna and steam room before our treatments. Amazing as always. Can't recommend the facilities and staff enough. Booked again for next month!
