I have been many times to El Santo, it usually for a Tomahawk Steak deal. Thus was the first time we dined from the a La Carte. We were dissatisfied with the food.

So el santo firstly should be said, is difficult for anyone with mobility issues. And that is not made clear in any of the booking steps.
It’s up some stairs and the design and layout was difficult for me with walking aids, and impossible for anyone even if they had a lift, for those with a wheelchair or walking frame.
Next is the service.
We were repeatedly forgotten about. Drinks we ordered never came, sides we ordered were given to other tables by mistake, there was long gaps between each of the meats as well.
Having been to Brazilian grills such as Fazenda, even with the voucher, it was barely cheaper. But the service there is significantly better.
Further, the cuts of meat are cheaper cuts, yet the price difference is negligible.
Personally, I had the service been better that night, it would barely squeak by a positive as it wasn’t dirty, the food was nice, but most of the time, food was cold.
Overall it’s a two star, and that’s being generous.
For me, I’d say save up a bit more and splash out on Fazenda or somewhere else that’s a bit better.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Warm welcome, clear explanation of menu, great atmosphere, no "hidden extras" or limitations with the itison deal. Food was magic, plentiful. Nothing negative to say at all
