We have visited Ballathie on many occasions. It is a real favourite of ours.
We go for the relaxed ambiance and the wonderful food. Scott Scorer and his team are consistently excellent.
We had heard that the hotel had changed hands but were glad that the staff had been retained. They are very professional and efficient.
We look forward to seeing the improvements that are on the horizon during our next visit.

The hotel is dated and it needs to be updated. The prices are high but the service is good.

It was lovely, you are given a very nice welcome. We arrived mid-afternoon and was desperate for a coffee which we had imminently, and on departure, found that we had not been charged. We ate in the restaurant each night and were just as happy as previously. Would go back again.

We have stayed at Ballathie House often and it never fails to please us. It is a good value traditional hotel set in it's own grounds which have been improved over the years, with pleasant riverside walks along the Tay. The food is also very good in a pleasant dining-room with views out to the river. The drawing-room is also very attractive and comfortably furnished. A big attraction is that the hotel has not been 'over modernised' but sympathetically restored over time. We will be staying again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. A really lovely hotel. Excellent staff and delicious food in the restaurant. Beautiful setting. Well worth a visit. Would love to go back :)

Last visited a number of years ago. Rooms a bit tired and in need of upgrading. Staff excellent although bar staff before dinner were a bit thin on the ground given the number of guests. That said they were very nice. Good food although did miss the cheese trolley. Should bring back a la carte menu . Grounds still beautiful . Enjoyed our stay.

Don’t change. We like its old fashioned ambience and perfect setting.
Our bathroom wallpaper was past its best.
