I'd never been here before, so didn't really know what to expect. This little gem is very tastefully decorated & in the restaurant there were some booths, which made it feel intimate. I'd come here for an afternoon tea & as soon as we'd sat down the server was there asking if we'd like some tea or coffee. The food arrived shortly afterwards & there was an excellent selection of sandwiches, cakes & the best scones I've EVER tasted. There was lots of choices with the selection given & there was plenty of food too. The server would come back occasionally to check if we were OK & if we required more tea. The server was so lovely, as were her colleagues & made our experience at this restaurant, with her warm character, a truly fantastic introduction to the Black Bull. We will definitely be returning for a meal in the very near future. I'd definitely recommend this place 5*

This was a gift for my mum and steppy they had an amazing time and said it was lovely the staff was great, they would definitely go back.

Staff were very attentive, sandwich’s and scones were good, cakes were very, very small. Premises were clean but little natural light. Was good enough value but don’t we’d be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The staff were lovely and very welcoming.

The Black Bull is a lovely place, food very enjoyable and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
