The Brasserie is not on a main street and not so easy to find. A little more direction aforehand would have helped. It is in the grounds of Pollock Halls University of Edinburgh. The staff however were very pleasant, very attentive but not overly so. The food was pleasant and the meal enjoyable.

Very attentive, very helpful staff we both had the Chicken Caesar salad, very nice, generous portions, big helping of chips too. Nice place away from the city centre.

Main meal was the roast of the day.
The meat was full of gristle, and it couldn't be cut with a knife.
I complained and the price of the meal was removed from the bill.
However, they continued to serve this roast to other people apparently 5 servings still left! I watched them struggle too! Why did they continue to serve this substandard meat. We ordered coffee/ Afogato, it took 20 mins to come and coffee was cold. The waitress intervened to salvage the situation.

Food, service and setting were top notch. Nice touch with blankets to use to combat the chill. Definitely be back.
