Charming, immaculate hotel in a great location

Loved our stay here which started with a warm welcome and a glass of wine in their stylish bar. Our room on the second floor was huge with big panoramic windows with fabulous views over the new town, down to Leith and over The Forth to Fife. The bed was comfy and the bathroom, with walk-in shower was very modern and clean with quality towels and toiletries. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and breakfast the next day was tasty and fresh. We liked having a menu rather than hot buffet as it had more choices and food comes fresher. My avocado toast was great. Highly recommend. The only thing be aware of is there’s no elevator so if you don’t do stairs best let them know in advance as I think there were some ground level or basement rooms.

This is our second time at The Place. We always book one of the suites, they are beautiful. From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with friendly professional staff. They are so happy to help, we were a little early checking in, so we were able to leave our luggage and go along the road for a drink. When we came back our luggage had been carried up to our suite.
The cocktails you get on the deal are lovely, everywhere is decorated beautifully and extremely clean. If you haven’t been to The Place I would recommend you do, as you won’t be disappointed.
Very excellent Hotel.

We had a lovely overnight stay in a very spacious room. The staff were always on hand to help and the cocktails at the bar were excellent. I would have liked some fresh berries or banana at breakfast rather than melon which is pretty tasteless in Feb. O
Central location ideal for Bus station 🚉 lovely attentive staff short walking distance to Princess Street.

great location. Stayed last year and liked so went back. Sadly not so good this time we had a room at the top 73 stairs and no lift i think this should be pointed out. Breakfast not as good ordered avocado on toast with poached egg. Could only eat the egg the “avocado was shop bought spread out of a tub in my opinion. Horrible.
