We have enjoyed many delicious meals at Taypark and would normally rate it very highly so were looking forward to our visit. However the meal we were eventually served with bore little resemblance to previous occasions even though we ordered the same dishes. Our favourite “wild mushroom” starter was inedible and consisted of a piece of bread floating in a thin tasteless mushroom soup-like sauce with an undercooked poached egg on the top. It was inedible. There was certainly nothing wild about those bog standard funghi!! The main courses eventually arrived and were okish apart from the Yorkshire pudding. But nothing like we’ve had before. The same can be said about the desserts. It was as if the person cooking had no idea what a Yorkshire pudding or apple crumble actually was. Sadly we won’t be returning as there are so many places serving excellent traditional Sunday dishes. If only we could find out where the previous chef has gone…..

The voucher was for my son and daughter-in-law, who said the food was good, but a lot of items weren't available from the main menu, which was disappointing considering the money that was spent, in the end they ordered from the bar menu.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived
the waiting staff were very effient and attentive

Really nice experience the hotel set in nice grounds and lovely views of the Tay.
Food was excellent and with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money and will be back.

Surprisingly much better than my last visit. Food could be hotter. 2 of the 4 desserts were unavailable. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would go back to the Taypark again but not sure if I would recommend it to friends.

Really enjoyed the 3 course lunch at Taypark. Tasty dishes well cooked and presented.
The chocolate fondant was delicious.
Attentive, friendly staff.
( The one point I would make is that there shouldn’t be spelling mistakes in the menu )
Tasted walnuts… instead of toasted walnuts.
Maris pipper potatoes… instead of Maris Piper potatoes.
Cream anglais… instead of crème anglaise.
There was another mistake but I can’t remember what it was.
I am always disappointed to see spelling mistakes in any menu.. but especially in an upmarket restaurant!
