Lovely setting,staff were very attentive.
The portions could have been better, baked coley although very nice was rather small.
All in all would certainly return

We have been to the restaurant several times, but this was the first time on a Sunday for their roast. We really enjoyed it again and although we had the roast there were other options too.

Our 4th visit and enjoyed every one!
Food is excellent and nicely presented and the staff are friendly, attentive and professional.
Took 1 point off as they ran out of beer and we could have managed another roast potato or two!
Will definitely return

Glad we used an Itison deal to finally try this small local restaurant as we both had a wonderful time. Staff were courteous and friendly, there was a good choice of food for our three courses, and the portion sizes were good too.
The view onto the trees across the Water of Leith was beautiful but I would suggest covering the lower half of the windows looking out onto the Canonmills traffic lights and parked cars and skips across the road, perhaps with frosted cling film. Luckily our table was not right next to that window so it didn't bother us.
