Interesting hour spent grooming the huskies they are brilliant dogs.

No toilet facilities so do make sure you go before visiting. The owner is very welcoming and his story was really interesting. Didn’t like the attempted selling aspect though either to fund a bag of dog food, vouchers for sale as well as overpriced items eg.keyrings etc. Dogs very well cared for and might be good to try the sled in the winter time.

I hate to say this but it wasn’t good. We paid for 1hr. Got 15-20 mins with the husky dos then a
30 min video and then q&a with the owner who had raced in Alaska/canada with a different breed of huskies he borrowed 15 years prior. It was a hard sell to lots of ways of buying and donating things but no info about the current breed, the breeding programme. Was focused on the nostalgia of 15 years ago not today and don’t mean to come across as uncaring but he talking about losing his wife and the media campaign all those years ago at some length. The video was old and not that relevant to today’s tour or the breed of huskies in his his kennels. The kids were very bored and wanted to see the dogs. We got 10 mins max including feed of the dogs after the video but such a long way to travel and yes we were disappointed. They asked a few times for us to help him find ways of making more money :-(
Missed opportunity

Unfortunately the weather was bad on our planned day so we had to cancel. This was not well received at Husky Haven so that was a shame. With the deadline upon us we won’t go - just a bit of disorganisation on our part, but a warmer response would have made us more enthusiastic about trying again to book.
I feel my responses are harsh but the choices being yes/no don’t give a fair reply
My granddaughter was so happy and delighted she was over the moon.

This was by far one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. Wattie the owner was so friendly & helpful had the most amazing story to share about how the business came about. A truly fascinating man. It was brilliant to get so up close and personal with the huskies. The were so well looked after & happy looking. The husky ride was brilliant. I was a bit nervous to begin but the huskies know what they are doing. Would definitely recommend to anyone that loves dogs. Great day out. All the staff are dedicated.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but staff & volunteers very welcoming- happy to share their experience. Dogs beautifully groomed and well cared for…the huskies happy to be petted and very relaxed- only 1 dog kept in kennel whole time but that was due the dog’s past explained by staff…
Owner was away at time of our visit with many of the huskies, which staff were excited about, due to the possibility that the team of dogs may well become movie stars…
Video about owners journey being a musher was interesting - even thought the hut it was shown in was VERY hot on such a sunny day…
The owner, staff and volunteers are all clearly devoted to the huskies which shows in the calm temperament and excellent condition of these beautiful dogs.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was very informative and the staff and dogs were excellent. I would definately recommend it to everyone especially anyone that likes dogs.
