Unfortunately we Did Not enjoy this itison! From the room to the food was awful. We were in a room that resembled more a coffin than a bedroom. Very dark and dingiest The crumbling brickwork in bedroom had spiders in it, the bed very uncomfortable either lumpy pillows. My husband and I did not go under covers! We didn’t sleep at all :( The meal took one and 3/4 hrs to come when it did it had obviously been lying for a while as it was cool, the fish was just overdone batter, with very little fish, really awful! We did complain and my husband was offered a free pint :( even though the whole plate of food went back :( Menu basic bar food! We had to pay the full price for uneaten food! We could have gotten better at McDonalds. We complained again to reception in the morning ( lot of things on breakfast menu they didn’t have :( and nothing was done about it! We paid the bill under duress. We are not the kind to complain (honest) but if only to warn others DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL! The only good part was the gardens and wedding venue. It was certainly like somewhere from the 18th century without any renovation! Very disappointed, we traveled from Scotland for nothing short of a disaster
