Visited the citizen last Saturday given requested booth by window, greeted by lovely welcoming staff who could not do enough to help.
The 2 course menu with signature cocktail was amazing such great value and such a stunning venue stayed on and ordered further cocktails 🍸 (they are the best) such a great start to our Saturday afternoon in town.
Thank you Citizen your food drink and staff are just fantastic.

Great food. Great service. It was an Itison deal so the price was also great😊. Not sure if I agree with the ‘discretionary’ service charge added to the bill. If a service charge is discretionary why is it automatically added to the bill. Being pressured into discretionary "tipping", (I'd probably be too uncomfortable asking for this cost to be removed) just means the ‘discretionary service charge’ is my tip, which may even have been more then the 10% due to the enjoyable overall experience.

The lunch at the citizen was fine and great value but the service was way below par. Had to ask 2 or 3 times for basic things … sparkling water, a beer, the bill.
Honestly don’t think I would go back because of this.?
