Sandwiches felt a bit stale as if they had been sitting uncovered. Service was extremely slow. My friend had to ask for her tea to be changed as it was stewed. We waited a further 30 plus minutes and had to ask for our cakes and scones. We were told unlimited tea but no one asked if we wanted a refill of tea or water. We didn’t get the palate cleanser at the end of the afternoon tea. As two people who enjoy going to nice establishments for afternoon tea, this was the worst. Decor also very dated, could do with a refresh.

I actually don't want to say too much because then it'll be full when I want to book next, but i cannot lie....Amazing afternoon tea, very attentive staff and delicious afternoon tea including vegan option. Ssshh, don't tell everyone but this is an amazing deal.

Myself and my friend often have afternoon at One Square and always pleased when the deals come up so we can try the various themed afternoon tea.
However, we were rather disappointed yesterday both with the food and setting.
Normally we are sat in the dining area and staff are accommodating, always making sure you are having the best experience. Yesterday we were sat in the bar where it was overcrowded and noisy. The food was also ‘average’, nothing like we usually get. I wouldn’t say it was worth the money whereas on other occasions, it has been a lovely worthwhile afternoon experience.

Delicious food and tea. Beyond our expectations
Service is good. It’s a very nice birthday gift to my friend. We have a good time at One Square

We had a lovely afternoon tea yesterday. The service was excellent. As I can’t drink they kindly made me up a mocktail. The servers were so attentive and made sure everything served was suitable as I’m pregnant. The selection of food was lovely a fish cake, brioche bun roll, sandwich and mini prawn cocktail. They were popping round to check on us and were so attentive. I enjoyed three pots of tea. Puddings were all really tasty as well! I loved that the eclairs had a lemon filling. We will be back!

Was a wonderful homage to the decades since the Sheraton opened. All served beautifully and accompanied by a good choice of teas and JNG sparkling fizz. Flavours were varied and did justice to the decades notable flavours. Overall, well worth the experience. Was good to chill in the calmness of the brasserie overlooking Edinburgh's landmarks. Lovely staff added to the atmosphere.
