We enjoyed the excursion very much but found 10.5 hours just a bit too long.
Was pretty much what we expected.
Was good to see things that could only be viewed from the water.
Catering was fine.
On the whole the passengers were well behaved and considerate.

My husband and I have sailed on the Waverley several times and it has always been a good day out. The weather wasn’t great on our recent trip, but I have to applaud the gentleman who was commentating throughout the trip, he was cheerful and informative.

We were really lucky with the weather, it was perfect. Great voyage and we met some lovely people. The staff are always friendly and the scenery is stunning.
The one downside was a delayed departure from Campbeltown meant we were late back to Largs and had to sit offshore while they docked the local ferry, by the time we got off it was almost an hour late, which is quite significant after an already long day.

Went from Greenock on the hottest Sunday of the year to Campbeltown and then the afternoon cruise down the Kintyre Peninsula. Would recommend this to anyone young or old. Going on another in 3 weeks time we enjoyed it so much.

Had a great trip on the Waverley for my sister’s birthday on 10th July. We left from Largs went to Millport and we got off in Brodick Arran. We had a nice couple of hours to explore. The ship arrived and left almost exactly on time which was great.
Although it was busy we managed to get outside seats even changed them several times everyone very friendly and staff helpful. Food pricy £1.80 for a regular pack of crisps and over £5 for chips. Most people had there own food/pack lunches we weren’t looking for anything but did noticed some prices. All in all great day out and will definitely return just remember your goodies especially if you have kids etc.

Really enjoyed my trip on the Waverley. The historic Waverley is lovely and well maintained. The staff were great, and I loved seeing the engine room. The catering was good and not too overpriced. It was great to get the river view of Glasgow and all the other sights on the way to Dunoon.
Unfortunately we were delayed on our return journey by 1.5 hours due to an engine problem and it was late at night by the time we got home. It was difficult finding out what was going on and why we were kept waiting and no staff around to tell us. It is an old ship and break downs will happened but passengers should be kept up to date.
Otherwise a wonderful trip.
