We were both really looking forward to the sharing Sunday roast, however we left disappointed and hungry. The meat was tasty and well seasoned, albeit the portion was small. The veg was disappointing, lacked seasoning, and small portions (3 small chanting carrots each, 3 small potatoes, 2 pieces brocoli and thin, small parsnips strips). A Sunday roast should be generous portions (even if that means loads of veg, which is cheap to keep costs down). Serving on a chopping board looks nice, however everything is then cold very quickly. The gravy was tasty. Yorkshire puddings clearly pre-made frozen.
Ive been to Brel before and enjoyed the food and other tables meals looked good. The Sunday roast is supposed to feel like a specialty and well made. The cost is not worth it, even for two. Staff didnt seem interested and missed an opportunity to up sell for dessert, drinks after the main meal. No-one approached us to ask how our meal was, perhaps they already know?

We loved the experience of pumpkin carving. The set up is perfect, outside space nice and warm. All equipment for carving available for kids. Chocolate fondue went down a treat. My issue lay with the table near us. They had 3 dogs at the able and 1 of the dogs was very very poorly controlled. It barked constantly and very unsettled when anyone walked past the table. To my knowledge at no point did any member of staff ask for the dog to be better controlled. Not ideal when folk trying to enjoy quality time together.

Our voucher indicates we could receive two pumpkins per voucher, however the member of staff there only gave us one pumpkin and said it was one pumpkin per voucher?

Wow - what a fantastic visit!
The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. The staff, especially the manager Nic, made the evening feel truly special. Everyone was friendly, humorous, and considerate - we couldn't have asked for more.
The food was cooked to perfection: we had two fillet steaks (both perfectly done), the chicken schnitzel, and the burger - every dish was delicious. All of our guests were delighted with their meals, but most importantly, the service was outstanding.
We left absolutely satisfied and impressed. Well done, Brel - your hospitality was second to none!

We love coming to Brel at Easter and October for these chocolate fondue experiences but this year it was a bit poor £26 for 1 pumpkin even though it’s a deal for 2 and 1 chocolate board which wasn’t the same, less stuff on it compared to last years but costs more money a little disappointing.
Staff are all friendly lovely pub
