The Spa Day we had here was brilliant. We were booked in and had our treatments first which were lovely. Two very professional and friendly therapists. We were then booked in for our afternoon tea which a great spread of savoury and sweet treats and they catered well for vegetarians too. Nothing was too much trouble. I swapped the prosecco for a soft drink and that was easy to do too. We then went back to enjoy the leisure facilities which were great and very relaxing. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

Seating area could have been more comfortable seats don’t give off spa vibes seats were hard to sit on.
Knew on booking there was only one therapist in but would have been better if two people were on shift did get told on booking that there was only one therapist on
Had managed to extend the vouchers so grateful for this
High tea was delicious

We waited for 15 mins before anyone was at the welcome reception for us and when they came we got our robes and slippers. The changing rooms were an okay level of cleanliness but the floors were soaking and slippy. We went out to the pool to find 3 lounge chairs which was definitely not enough for the amount of people using the facilities.
We arrived at 10:20 ish on the pool side and till our booking for afternoon tea at 12, there was infant-younger kids swimming lessons going on the entire time. This is obviously not a problem if we were notified but it doesn’t exactly create a relaxing atmosphere and there was nothing on the page about lessons. We got into the pool which was freezing and decided to go to the sauna but it was closed down. We then tried the steam room and it was great the first time. The next couple times we went to heat up from the coldness of the pool, it was barely working.
We went for lunch and the food was nice but we were the only ones there and the osbournes was on the tv to fill the silence. Not exactly what you want to be listening to at lunch.
We went back to the pool after lunch and lost our lounge chairs so sat at what was like garden furniture. We went for our treatments which were Oky but the whole place just seemed very unorganised with us again waiting for 15 mins in the reception because someone didn’t call through for us.
Over all staff were uninterested and place was very run down. Won’t be returning.

Unfortunately the “spa” is run down, cold and uninviting. The pool was closed which I was only advised of 2 days before our booking and I had already taken the day off work. The therapist was very friendly but the room was cold and again uninviting. Definitely not a spa experience. Afternoon tea was fine but again the restaurant area where we had it was freezing and we had to keep our coats on.

Our spa treatments were great however, the pool was closed and no one reached out to tell us before hand. I am pregnant so could not use the steam room & sauna so was very disappointed I couldn’t use the pool and felt like we wasted a lot of time sitting about. I feel like we never got the most out of our vouchers.

We booked a voucher for 2 small spa treatments and afternoon tea. When calling to book with the spa, it was extremely difficult to feel assured they understood what you were booking, and seemed clueless about the itison deal at all. Once we managed to eventually get the treatments booked, we were transferred through to the restaurant to book the afternoon tea, which I requested one to be gluten free - I was assured this was possible and I asked for email confirmation of the spa booking and afternoon tea booking…. This never arrived. The day we were meant to be going, we were called to be told they could no longer take us that day and they could tomorrow, at which point we couldn’t just change day as this was organised with work. We were very understanding as we didn’t know know circumstances of the cancellation on their behalf. We rearranged for another date. The day before this new date they left us a voicemail to say they have to move from 2pm till 11am as they don’t have a therapist, which we called to say this wasn’t possible again for us due to work, at which point they were going to cancel again. I explained that we were not willing to be cancelled on again as this has been arranged in advance. They said they would try to accommodate this which they did. At this point of being on the phone, I asked to confirm the gluten free again, which they did, and my friend also called on the day to confirm this.
When we arrived the therapists Courtney & Astrid were lovely, very welcoming and carried out lovely massages and facials for us both. The receptionist at the spa was not the same enthusiasm and made minimal effort of communication. The changing rooms of the spa were not clean, and towels etc lying everywhere.
We then went for afternoon tea and they presented us with 2 x normal afternoon tea. After asking the waiter where the gluten free one was, he said he wasn’t made aware of this… after us clarifying it at least 3 times before coming! He was a lovely man, and said he would sort something, and returned with a couple of sandwiches and cakes for my friend, but was clear it was a panicked grab of anything they had in the kitchen that was gluten free.
I would not recommend this experience to anyone who wants a relaxing process from booking to getting there, as there is clearly some serious communication flaws in this place and wouldn’t trust it in the future.

Had a lovely afternoon tea.

We were given treatments form a student still at college. The treatments were ok but we didn’t receive the reflexology that we booked due to the therapist that wasn’t fully qualified yet didn’t know how to do the treatment.
