Teenagers really enjoyed the day

To be honest we struggled to find it due to poor signage and no WiFi. When we eventually found a sign at the entrance to a car park.we could not find it even though we were near.. Did park up and walk to toilets and then we found ticket office. However it was worth it. I had 2 teenagers with me and they loved it. It was so interesting. Calm and peaceful. The cou ryysude is great with great walks. We spent 2 hours there exploring all the buildings. We git a quiz to complete which was really good as you had to read all the plaques that were up. Really informative. Teenagers dud not look at their phones once result!
Unique

It was what we expected for the price we paid. Understand that it relays heavily on vaulunteers just a shame that Scottish heritage can’t invest in this place it’s something of and experience.
Rather false

It was not nearly as authentic as expected. I assume it was on the site of a genuine village, but really did not see anything to convince me of that. The fact that it had been used as a film set for Outlander summed it up. The magnificent scenery and countryside walks saved the day!
