Good overnight stay in the centre of Glasgow

We did enjoy are overnight stay. However the room (116)was very basic, the toilet was too close to the radiator and the toilet didn’t flush very well. Informed the reception on checkout re the flush issue. Breakfast was nice and cooked to order and the staff were very friendly.
Overall good experience

Lovely girl on reception when we arrived, very pleasant and chatty. Room clean, bathroom spotless but too hot. Had to keep the windows open only to find it so loud with seagulls, bars putting out bottles and trucks picking up the bottles. Personal choice but the bed was so soft we couldn't sleep so uncomfortable night. Coffee machine was dirty from previous guests. Breakfast was good but could do with more vegetarian choice. Loved the location and quirky lift. We would stay again if we had a different room away from the road and a firmer mattress on the bed.
Nice quirky Hotel but poorly understaffed

We had to pay a £15 upgrade to get a twin room which we have never had to do before anywhere but the room was nice, large with high ceilings although some of the fittings in the bathroom were alarmingly loose and the light switch was at the front door about eight feet away.
Breakfast was totally undercooked and inedible and staff overworked so worst we have ever encountered.
The staff who were there were very friendly and trying hard in the difficult circumstances.

We arrived 3 hrs early, asked if the room was ready, as it was, we where allowed to check in early, the man at the reception was very funny and friendly during the check in process, room was good, with plenty of toiletries and spare towels,
Breakfast Was ok, but the utensils that the cooked breakfast were stored in need upgrading to ones with lids with hinges.
Hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hrs after checking out, as we had a show to see, good touch.
Lovely historic building with pull shut lift

The room was lovely. Bed comfy. Warm welcome on arrival. Great stay. Breakfast was lovely but could do with some items to be self-service to save the one server running around so much and service being so slow. Breads, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, juices, butter, and jams.
Note: Prosecco is cava and surgery sweet
Disapointing Stay

Room very small with noisy aircon. Tv did not work and plug for washbasin let water through..
Waited 45 mins for a pretty mediocre breakfast on first day. Next day breakfast was a buffet breakfast with cold plates for hot food. Not very enjoyable. Hotels in Itison deals are usually excellent. This was the worst ever.. Would definately not return
Great Location for a night out in town

This was in a really handy location when in town for a concert. The only problem we encountered was the lift not always being available to use as it was so ancient and if the inner gate wasn’t closed by the last person to use it it wouldn’t move from the floor it was had been left on.
Pleasant overnight stay
