We attended Emma in the Botanics on Friday evening. Everything was perfect, until rain started just before the interval and became quite heavy, so staff informed us the the show was cancelled. They were very polite and apologetic, explained that our tickets were still valid for the rest of the run.
We go to Bard in the Botanics most years, have been rained off once before. Understand that this is a risk you take with an outdoor performance. These shows are very professional and well put together.

We've not bought tickets for Bard in the Botanics for years. We were fed up being rained off but we thought we'd go for it this year.
The first half of Emma was good and funny
The Rev played the role rather too camply and wasn't believable in it. Mr Weston looked like he'd never worn a costume before.
The Scottish accents to indicate the lower class parts were annoying.
Then the rain came on.
Went to see Emma last night. Fabulous production and great value for money using itison voucher. Highly recommend
