Staff great. Parking was a problem. Contacting the hotel by phone was a problem.
Good to note that they are fixing the roof. After that I hope they will spend some money on the rooms.
In fairness I did not spend a lot of money for the accommodation so can’t expect five star treatment.
Oban itself is getting a bit run down compared with when I last visited.

We stayed here a week ago and would never stay here again unless we had the superior room . We bought the itison deal for a 3 night stay . When we arrived we were given room 130 . That room is dreadful . Never accept this room under any circumstances . I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in that room. We could not sleep on the first night due to the room above . The room has so much noise you can’t get to sleep . The room is like an after thought . Window looks out to nothing . It’s such a depressing room .
In the morning I had to ask to be moved as I was not going to stay another night in this room . We got a woman called Valerie who was sympathetic. She gave us 3 options to pick . She took us up to the top level so we wouldn’t have anyone above us , it turned out to be a superior room . This room was absolutely beautiful. Lots of space . Beautiful view of Oban harbour . Lovely and warm . The breakfast is a buffet type but this is quality food . I was actually surprised on what was on offer . Really good breakfast.
On departing the gentleman “Kia” at the desk asked how was our stay. I asked him why he put us in that room (130) he said it was a double room ! His attitude changed when I told him we got moved . He wasn’t happy to say the least .
Please also note that this hotel charges you £10 per day to park your car in there car park. If you go a few feet further you will find free parking after 6pm in this car park which they don’t tell you about .

Overall a good experience although we felt a 3pm check in was a bit late.
There is a lot of work going on with limited dining options.
Kai the under manager was a star who could not do enough for us.
Good value dinner - delicious fish and chips - £17.00 - great price especially for Oban.

Enjoyed our stay but the corridor to our room was a bit dark and the decor very tired.
Staff were very pleasant and the bed linen fresh and clean.
Extremely awful and we didn't stay once we seen the state the place was in!

I have already emailed about this and no ones bothered to get back. Everything about this place is dire. It should be shut down as its not fit for human habitation. Id like my money back for the two vouchers I bought as I had to book another hotel once I saw how bad this place was. As a disabled person I couldn't risk my health. Just need to look on trip advisor to see how bad. What are you thinking of working with this hotel!!

The staff were lovely,very dated. Definitely in need off TLC.Food was lovely,great location.
