Beautiful setting, delicious food

We used an itison voucher for afternoon tea for two. The hotel is beautiful, we sat in a bay window in the lounge, overlooking the gardens. The hotel was quiet and we had the lounge to ourselves
The food was delicious, a good variety of sweet and savoury options and the scones were fresh.
Only negative was that although the staff were lovely, our waiter asked us to come and find him if we wanted more tea or coffee. It would have been nice if he had checked in on us, even every half hour or so.
That said, the afternoon tea was very good value for money and I would definitely return

Had a wonderful time with family/friends having Afternoon Tea in Blairs restaurant Ardoe House.
The food was very tasty, lots choice sandwiches and cake treats.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The House has a large welcoming warm fire, the decor and gardens give a fine cosy atmosphere.
Will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.

High tea mediocre

Voucher for high tea. Went mid afternoon on a Sunday. Sandwiches (prawn and chicken) had no taste nor seasoning. Cheese and pickle sandwich was nice. Shortcrust pastry lemon tart was soggy and limp. Remaining pastries were ok. Nowhere on a high tea have I ever had a mushroom in batter. Bizarre!
