Great location, facilities and restaurant

I loved being at this hotel in a very unique setting in between the mountains of highlands. Really loved the SPA facilities with spacious sauna and a great swimming pool although there were a few issues with the jacuzzi.

The room was very small with a view of the car park which was very disappointing. Some of the staff were brilliant, there were equally as many that were quite poor. Both nights the dinner was excellent. We were very disappointed with the breakfast buffet, it was in a poky room, the range was average but frequently had to wait for things to be replenished and it just didn't look appealing. Probably the most unloved breakfast buffet I've ever seen.
Great first night, 2nd night dinner not so

Good fun as ever and great for the kids, dog etc. Always think something more could be done with the bar area and dinner & service on the second night was not up to normal standards. Service was a bit out of sync, menu was changed that day and nowhere near as attractive as the night before, wine selection is pretty poor and over-priced and food served not cooked properly, in this case the trio of fish.
It was the sort of night that makes you think of other local options next time around. Will answer YES to the questions that follow but not as happily as in the past.

Everything about the hotel was great. Staff, food, room etc could not fault anything. Will definitely be back .
GORGEOUS VIEWS

We stayed at the Glencoe Hotel last week for a few days. The views from the room we had were truly breathtaking. The staff were all lovely and very helpful.
When I booked, we had a puppy and although it said dog friendly rooms, I did assume they would be allocated on the ground floor but we were on the top floor, as all rooms are dog friendly. If I'd known this I'd have asked for a ground floor room, as my puppy doesn't do steps yet, so had to be carried.
The room we had was big, it could do with a little update but it was nice enough.
The downside the it, the weather! Oh my god, it battered down for the whole time we were there and it was so bad, that we left a day early. We're from Scotland so we know what the weather is like but even the puppy refused to go out, so we didn't see a point in staying sadly.
I probably won't book the West coast in February again! ?
