1st class hotel in a superb location

I have stayed at the hotel previously. We arrived at the hotel reception three hours early but we were advised our room was ready and we could take possession immediately. This was wonderful.
Reception staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly.
Our room was spotless and very cosy. Despite it being quite cold outdoors the room was pleasantly warm.
Food at the hotel was very high class with a fantastic selection of items to choose from on the menu. Breakfast also had so many items available to select from that was excellent. Being a golfer I was delighted to see that the dining room overlooked the first tee at the famous Carnoustie Golf Course.
The only down side was that my wife left her iPhone charging plug and cable in the room. I phoned the hotel later to look into it for me and they said they would phone me back but alas they didn't.

I stayed at this hotel last week for a couple of nights and had a great trip
The staff were all great to chat with and were very friendly.
The room I was given was lovely, with a walk in shower and a great view of the 18th green on the championship golf course.
I had dinner in the sports bar and the food was lovely, choice of beers good and a nice area but unfortunately there is no sound with the TVs which meant enjoying the evening with the football or golf is disappointing and only pictures (they need to fix this quickly as believe it's been like that since Christmas)
Breakfast was excellent with great choice and good food
Didn't use the leisure facilities but do know they have been upgraded and are lovely to use.
Always enjoy staying here and will come back again
Great hotel with lovely balcony room

Offer was much the same as the normal price, when you add on upgrade, dinner and Spa treatments quite expensive for what it is.
Breakfast and dinner was lovely, room was spacious and clean.

Well, this criticism isn't unique to this hotel, but if much prefer if scatter cushions weren't anywhere. I like my bedding to be washed at , presumably 60°, and then not "contaminated" by either a scatter cushion or a fabric draped over the foot of the bed. Those fabrics aren't washable at 60° and therefore, dust nites will love those things! While I do have allergies, they're not serious, but I seriously thought that post COVID, hotels may change the status quo where this is concerned.
The 1st thing I do when I arrive in a room is pile them all up on the floor. Interestingly, all my friends do the same!
