I paid £49 for the voucher but received only £45 off my bill, didn't query it at the time as I only noticed it when I checked the bill once home

Confusion with your booking system and their acknowledgment of booking. It doesn’t have a real restaurant feel .

It doesn’t doesn’t have a real restaurant feel and feels more like a big bar. The food was nice and well presented but my wife had the mussels and they I thought they looked a bit slimy but didn’t want to put her off and declined to sample them. My wife was sick that night and had diarrhoea and upset tummy the next day. We much prefer the somewhat formal feeling of their sister restaurant The Anchor Line next door. We are unsure if we would go back to the Citizens again.

I have been to The Citizen four times now and it is fabulous!

Really nice meal with food service we had the Haggis and late starters followed by fish and chips and chicken bacon and mushroom pie with a vodka cocktail
