Outstanding food from this gem of a restaurant. We had the tasting menu and every course was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were a joy too. We all agreed that our vouchers were a bargain and the food at The Prancing Stag was hard to beat. Thinking of purchasing more vouchers.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Prancing Stag. We've been twice now and each time we've experienced warm friendly waiting staff and delicious food.

Far beyond what I expected!
All food, I thought, was delicious & different ‘twists’ to dishes I chose
& all cooked to perfection. It was like an award winning restaurant.
From the very start of the experience-the beautiful wee hot rolls with fennel & the sumac butter & pesto etc -all deliciously different & an unexpected bonus.
I followed with the hot smoked salmon & croudie, dill crème fraise tartlet which was delicious (lovely texture of tart ‘case’, beautifully presented & a generous portion.
My main course, I chose the sea bass-again beautifully presented (delicious crispy skin but succulent texture of sea bass-again, cooked to perfection.
The gentleman who greeted & served us was so pleasant, efficient & came across as interested in, & enthusiastic about the dishes he was serving.
In every respect, a most pleasant experience.
