Arrived after check in time but room wasn’t ready so had to wait in reception listening to the receptionists talk very unprofessionally about previous guests.
Room was very outdated and quite run down but was comfy.
Breakfast was ok.

Toilet didn't flush properly, water would not go down drain in sink. Sash window frames need replacing. Booked a meal, thought we were going to restaurant but it was osed, so put in bar. Food mediocre.
Perfect location for exploring city

The Hotel could do with revamp .
Furniture in rooms tired looking. Old window frames
Bed etc was very comfy and room clean and tidy
No glasses on tray and only enough milk for one night for tea/coffee.
On plus side food was very good and staff very friendly.
Good for a short stay.

Great stay at this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel in a great position for walking to city centre and quiet riverside walks. Lovely view to Inverness Castle too. Reception and bar areas very welcoming and clean. Great breakfast choices. Bar meals were good too. Reasonable prices. Room was a bit tired in decoration as were the hallways. Would visit again and recommend to friends.

Disappointed

Have stayed here on a number of occasions but unfortunately this time was extremely poor, first the room was a health and safety issue as the floorboards were collapsed and in our room 118 there was a hole in the floorboards too which was dangerous when getting up in the night for the bathroom, then there was the breakfast, on the first morning there was a good choice of cereal but that was where it ended as when I went for the hot breakfast option there was only 1 sausage available and a clump of bacon that I couldn’t separate, I took scrambled egg but it was frozen and again clumped together, the fried eggs were also cold along with the plates.
Second morning was much improved and I don’t know if it was the manager on duty as we had a fire alarm at 12.30 in the morning and everyone was outside for almost an hour until the fire service checked the premises and as the clocks were going forward not a good situation as we lost even more sleep so unfortunately we would not return to this hotel again which is a pity as the situation is excellent.

Meal at MacNabs and breakfast was terrible.

Small, cold, dark dingy room

Not an experience I ever wish again, room was small, dark and freezing. Electric wall panel heater was useless and the bathroom was like a freezer, no way you could shower in that without getting pneumonia. The towel had a hole in it and the bedroom curtains were at least 6” to 8” too long and trailing on the floor. I did request if possible a light and airy room with a view and looked like they delivered the exact opposite.
Nice central hotel overlooking river

Enjoyed visit once again, nice room at rear of hotel room had heater in room, very good as it was colder at night. Nice bar in hotel.
Only downside was the buffet breakfast most of the items were lukewarm and the coffee in flasks were really un - drinkable only warm, do not know when this was last checked by staff.
Girl on breakfast duty looked like she really did not want to be there.
When left dinning area the girl was sitting behind a counter reading a book,no customer relations.
