3 of us took a friend as a treat for her 70th birthday. I've been twice before & the freshness & quality of the food has been the same on each occasion. The service was ok but not as attentive as the last twice. Saying that the venue is lovely & we enjoyed our visit. Would definitely recommend.

I treated myself and my daughter to afternoon tea at Glenskirlie. It did not disappoint! We had a complimentary small cup of soup while we were waiting and it was lovely. We had sausage rolls, sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and cakes, all of which were delicious. Staff were smart and attentive. We will definitely go back.

I was attracted to the Afternoon Tea deal both for the price and for the appearance of the hotel - like a white fairytale castle set in immaculate grounds. Booked it for my sister and I as a little treat and we weren’t disappointed. Fairly easy to find (despite Google maps giving wrong instructions for the end of the journey) and a beautiful setting, made even better by the sun being out. The interior of the hotel was done as befitting the castle theme and was well furnished. One downside was the flooring in the dining room. Obviously still in refurbishment mode, the tiles on the floor were old and cheapened the look of the room. I assume that carpeting will be done in due course.
The waiter was courteous, helpful and unobtrusive, and knowledgeable of the food on offer. The food itself was lovely. Well presented and adequate for lunch - a soup taster, sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones with jam and cream, and a selection of small cakes. A selection of teas or coffee were also included.
Having done a few afternoon teas at different venues over the past few years, this is one of my favourites and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
