Soup and roll great but course in very poor condition

While we accept this was late March the course was in poor condition with 6 winter greens and mats in operation. Pro shop gave no indication of this when we phoned to book.
Soup and roll in clubhouse wad excellent and service friendly.
If this voucher extended into April we might consider returning but while the layout is varied interesting and challenging the condition diminished the experience greatly

It was actually better than we expected. The course was in good condition (mats and winter greens obviously) and it’s a lovely hilly walk around. The pro was really friendly and the ladies in the clubhouse were lovely. We’re all going to visit again in the summer.
Fair test & exerting second 9, welcome lunch in the club to round off the day

Two ball 1st outing with winter mat provided by the pro shop, following members playing ahead 3:15 hours with winter greens on first 9 & some temp tee locations. Fair test for 20 handicap players. We will return in summer now familiar with layout to improve downhill hole scores. The clubhouse soup & sandwich provided as part of our voucher was welcome, tasty in well appointed surroundings, well done all at Pitteavie.

Before we played we phoned the Proshop to check if the course was on summer greens or not , the pro did not know , only the Website said ‘some’ temporary greens & the fairways were getting spiked by the GK’s , we passed the 18th Green to see it was on summer(promising we thought) & the 1st green also summer !! But on reflection more than half were temporary & believe it or not the GK’s managed to ‘Spike’ them as well to make them unplayable to say the least , another issue was some of the ladies tees were not visible & we couldn’t fathom why the summer greens weren’t all in play as they looked playable , in our opinion the course should have been closed or at least we should have been made aware of the setup as we would have gone elsewhere instead of ploughing through mud & wet , not a very nice experience at all very disappointed 😢

Course in good condition apart from weather, professional in shop was very helpful and provided discount voucher for a return trip
