Lovely dinner and excellent breakfast . Despite the snow the service was very good .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thainstone, and the suite we had was enormous . The only slight criticism was the choice and quality of the evening meal, and it was the same menu on both evenings.

We had a lovely weekend at Thainstone House. The room was comfortable, the house itself was beautiful, and the surroundings had plenty of nice walks (with Bennachie just 15 minutes away). The pool area, though small, was relaxing, complete with sauna, steam room, and spa pool. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, though service in the dining room was quite slow. Overall, very good value for the voucher price.

We had a lovely 2 night break at Thainstone. We were upgraded to a suite because I need a walk-in shower. Suite was very spacious. Comfortable bed and fabulous shower. Loads of hot water with good pressure. We had breakfast and dinner both days and the food was delicious. All staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely traditional Scottish hotel with lots of paintings and tartan sofas. Only negative - no roaring log fires until our last night, despite asking several times.

This was our second stay it didn’t impress us as much as the first time. The building is old and there were a few niggly things wrong with the rooms.
The staff and food made up for it though.

Upgraded to a superior king room. No king bed, seems it's the room that us king and not the bed.
Waited for reception staff to be told she was busy interviewing, in the guest open seating area! Interviews went on several times by both reception staff and a ? Manager, so guests could hear all that was going on, candidates personal information and part of their C.V. on a table in that area tea/coffee cups etc lay for about 4 hours with reception and ?manager bringing candidates to that area for interview
Coffee cups/spilled milk etc in the lounge seating area lay on a table for several hours.
Leisure facilities were ? Being upgraded. I had booked a spa treatment. Asked for spa slippers, none. Sent to reception, stock hadn't arrived. Pity.
The next days a pair of spa slippers in wrapper was wedged under a fire door to keep it open, in a guest corridor!
Spa therapist was great!
