There was mixed reviews online about this hotel but I found it to be worth the money and a good location. Our voucher included breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco.
The hotel was very busy but the staff coped well both at the bar in the evening and at breakfast.
My only gripe was the bathroom in the hotel could have been a little cleaner- just round the corners of the floor and the grout.

My husband and I stayed there for one night. I called at 11:30 in the morning and asked if we could possibly check in earlier. The lady over the phone said the room is not ready yet but she will make a note on the room. We arrived at the hotel at 13:30. The lady at the reception said the room is not ready but will be ready in an hour. We booked a deal which includes a bottle of prosecco. I wanted to confirm that they know about it and the lady said there is no note she will check on it and will let us know later. We went to eat some lunch a d arrived back at the hotel at 14:45. (We are aware that check-in is at 15:00). When we came back there was a different elder lady that assisted us. She said we arrived to early she will see if there is a room available for us. I asked her about the prosecco and she said yes I will give you a voucher for it in a rude way. Our one piece small luggage was kept in reception and we had to follow the elder lady to where they kept our luggage which was far from the reception and feel that was not great service. She placed us in a room for disabled people, and the room is also allocated directly next to the housekeepers room where they keep their cleaning materials as for we heard people moving things around well after 22:00 (10pm). The room was very uncomfortable, there is dirt on the bathroom door and I feel that we have been placed in this room on purpose. We stayed there because we were too tired moving around. The next morning I went to reception and asked is there someone we can raise our concerns about as for we are not happy with the room and the gentleman in the reception said to leave a review on booking.com. We went for breakfast, we were not showed to a table, explained where everything is, nothing of that sort. It is not a special experience and I will never stay at a Leonardo hotel again after this bad experience.

Nice hotel with good places to eat across the road.

Great location. Good size room with good amenities. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Our only negative was that the breakfast (hot) food was generally cold and not replenished very quickly. Although there seemed to be plenty of staff, the tables took too long to clear. Also, glassware and crockery were non existent for long periods. A very busy breakfast area but needs to be managed better.

The room was comfortable & clean right in the heart of Edinburgh with great transport options on the door to get anywhere! Breakfast was excellent. Loved my stay here.

On arrival the staff were friendly and smiley and explained how the voucher worked. Every member of staff I interacted with were helpful and friendly. Only reason I wouldn't go back is because of the distance from the centre.

On checking in there was a very long queue and only two staff on reception. Having said that, I had a problem with booking in but it was resolved very efficiently by Daniel
on Reception. First class service!
All the staff were very nice and helpful, especially at breakfast.
