I was really disappointed with my visit to Chop House. From the start, the staff came across as unfriendly and impatient, which made us feel unwelcome. The atmosphere was ruined further by the music, which was so loud it was difficult to have a normal conversation.
The food itself was no better — the rump steaks were incredibly chewy and far from enjoyable. To top it all off, the waiter cheekily added a “service charge” of £27.50 on a bill of just £37.50, which is outrageous. This was the extra we had to pay on top of the already £150 we had paid for itison vouchers.
Overall, a very poor experience. Between the bad service, unappetising food, and questionable billing practices, I would not recommend Chop House.

This was second visit, first visit was really good second was terrible, tried to eat what was served meat left a horrid taste in my mouth, and a very upset stomach they did come and offer an alternative which we did accept as we had not eaten but wished I had have just left, not a experience I will ever repeat, feel like I wasted my money as wouldn’t have paid £50 for 2 burgers

Booking my telephone was very friendly and welcoming and it was the same person who welcomed us on arrival and gave us a perfect table with a view of the trains and Carlton hill. Sorry I didn’t ask his name but we had excellent service and really enjoyed our steak deal and Prosecco.
