Everything about our stay at the Bailiffgate Hotel was just perfect. Lovely, friendly staff, nice bar ( very dog friendly) fabulous room, delicious breakfast and right next toothed most magical castle.

All I can say is a huge wow. This place is amazing. It is so beautiful and comfortable. The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Staff, service, dining experience at both evening and breakfast all outstanding.
One point - the bar just before dinner had around 8 or 9 customers several of whom were ordering cocktails and the sole bartender could not cope with the demand resulting in us foregoing the pre dinner drink. Otherwise, could not be faulted.

Great stay in fantastic room and great breakfast, highly recommend especially if you’re into castles as the hotel is a stones throw from the amazing Alnwick Castle!
Beautiful newly renovated hotel but not quite 5 star

The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring Alnwick and was located next to the castle. Our standard room was very spacious and had a lovely bathroom with freestanding bath. The staff we encountered were all very friendly but unfortunately what let things down was the service pretty much across the board. No consistency and basic things were missed. This was a shame as with more training it has the potential to be a very good hotel.

This hotel is definitely a jewel in the crown of the North East. Everything about this hotel was 1st class. I doubt you will find a better hotel for service, atmosphere and a fantastic breakfast. Nothing was a problem for the staff, everyone was so mannerly and polite, the way it should be. The facilities and quality of the room were superb. If you are in the area then book yourself in, you will not be disappointed. You would struggle to find one situated in a better location.
