Really disappointed in our afternoon tea. Sandwiches were just OK and the cakes were really poor. Pastry undercooked to the point of looking raw, soggy choux bun, rhubarb so hard couldn't get fork in it. The service and the scones were however very good.
Not good enough to make up for all the poor components though.
Very disappointed, we won't be returning.
Needs a lot of improvement

We have found the experience below average. Booked over the telephone as required but no booking actually taken. We have told by receptionist to go into the area where afternoon tea wasn’t served. Gentleman that was serving us was very friendly and attentive. The food quality and choice was somewhat poor as not as described on the menu and items missing. No refills offered during our visit. Even for the voucher price I would not be recommending this experience.

Staff friendly
Sandwich fillings tasty
No explanation of cakes
Initial table right beside TV screen showing golf requested to move which was managed well.
Sandwiches, scones and cakes, very basic
Very pleasant afternoon tea

As usual, attentive staff and well presented food. The food was delicious with a variety of tastes and textures. I must admit I did miss the sausage roll that used to be served, but by no means spoiled the occasion! This is the place I like to treat friends for an afternoon tea.
Lovely afternoon tea, food was excellent, staff friendly and attentive.

Was a lovely afternoon tea in lovely setting. Only thing I missed the sausage roll that used to be part of the tea x
Average Afternoon Tea for the money

Too many scones. No savouries such as small pies, sausage rolls or quiche. Only allocated one coffee and asked for another to be told “you are only supposed to get one.”..but most people ask for another cup.
For a luxury afternoon tea it should be more elaborate being at a luxury tea price..
