We had an overnight stay at Copthorne which included breakfast and we also booked an afternoon tea and an evening meal. The afternoon tea was superb and plentiful. The meal was excellent and the quality and choice at breakfast was amazing. Add in that all the staff were very helpful and attentive and the hotel and our room was very clean and adequately furnished(only slight downside that bed was a double and not king size),it made for a great base as we were up for 2 shows at his majesty’s and the music hall which were both 5/10min away. Would thoroughly recommend staying and eating there as very reasonable

We really enjoyed our afternoon teas, there was plenty to eat (but not too much - just perfect!). The lady that was looking after us was really attentive and kept checking if we needed more tea, etc which sometimes gets forgotten about. Would definitely return.

Sorry to say, but it was a very disappointing experience for both the gluten-free and standard parties. We were given two sandwiches—one with poor-quality ham and cheese, and one with egg paste—along with a couple of slices of chocolate cake and a few macarons. This is far below the standard expected of a hotel restaurant.

Nice bar and restaurant to sit and chill. Fantastic huge comfortable bed and nice bathroom with bath.
All staff very welcoming. Look forward to staying again next month as it is central to all bars and restaurants. Didn't have a car with us but noticed multi storey car park across the road if required.

Quality Afternoon Tea

Excellent afternoon tea and great service at the Copthorne Hotel. Honestly couldn’t have asked for anything else. We ate sandwiches, 3 types of cake and scones with jam and cream - all of it of a high quality. The waitress was lovely - sorry I didn’t ask your name. I haven’t been in the hotel for years but it was looking really good, very clean and well decorated. Will be back.
