Very friendly staff at check in and breakfast, Room was very good warm and clean.
The breakfast was excellent, porridge is definitely worth waiting for.

A great location to explore Edinburgh. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty. No lift but we were well warned before our stay, we just didn’t realise how unfit we were until we were climbing up and down to what I think would be the old servant quarters at the top of the building. My only complaint would be the poorly fitting room doors, our room had a gap of at least an inch at the bottom of the door ! And most doors were at a jaunty angle…all added to the character though if not very private.

We had a lovely stay at the New Town Hotel, the prosecco on arrival was a lovely treat and fuelled us up for our xmas shopping.
Fabulous location, great room, lovely toiletries in the room.
Thankfully we were on a low floor in a beautiful building which was next door to the bar and restaurant area.
Breakfast was great, not that much cold selection to choose from but the cooked breakfast menu was very nice and had loads of options x

Excellent from start to finish. Great location. Rooms were warm and cosy. Bathrooms immaculate. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. Staff were very helpful. Would recommend staying here and we will certainly will again.

We were warmly welcomed at reception on arrival. Lovely new bathroom with spacious shower and separate bath. Molton Brown toiletries, and bath robes provided which was a nice touch. Kettle, tea, biscuits etc in room. Bed was comfortable and slept well. We were served a freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Staff were attentive.
Only thing I would mention that care required in room 106 as step up in bathroom once in bathroom door. Also as mentioned in hotel information, a lot of stairs and no lift. If mobility issues ask for ground floor room. Would stay again.
