We had a lovely time, paid extra at check in for a Junior Suite with views of the river and Tyne bridge well worth it. Enjoyed dinner in hotel on first night.

The hotel is wonderful , staff are very friendly and food is delicious .
Our room was cosy , clean and very comfortable .
Dinner the first night was delicious but the service was very poor. Just one male waiter taking the orders , after 30 we went to the bar to get our own drinks . Once we had ordered our food after 40 minutes it arrived quickly and hot.
Breakfast service was very good .

We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was very nice and the food in the restaurant was delicious.. shame they dont do hot breakfast options to the bedroom in the morning. The late check out was good, but we did have people knocking on our doors and ringing the room before 12 noon not realising we had late checkout which was a bit annoying. Overall would go back as we had a nice time.

Malmaison was as I expected having stayed a Malmaison hotels in the past. What I didn't like was the menu found it very difficult to pick something I liked if you didn't like seafood not a lot of choice. Found the breakfast the first morning not up to par had to wait 50mins and there were things missing from the plate and it wasn't that busy 2nd morning was better.
