We were met by James given a choice of table and seated. The menu was then explained to us a. Thhe food was excellent - a juicy steak for me, cooked to perfection and a 'posh' fish and chips for my wife. Throughout the meal James ensured we were comfortable and the food was to out liking which it certainly was.
A great experience! Certainly be back. Higghly recommended.

The food was tasty, and what made the place too was the 2 male staff members who were friendly & chatty. I would have said a bit on the pricey side if we hadn't had the voucher - £50 for a beef wellington, why?!

This was our second time in 10 days at The Iron Duke and yet again we loved everything about it. Staff are exceptional, we were given a warm welcome, they were happy to go through the menu with us and service was great. We both started with scallops with cauliflower puree and that was absolutely amazing. For main course we both had the haggis, neeps and tatties . Delicious warming food for a cold January night. This lovely little bistro is a find! Book your table now as I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Had heard great things about Th Iron Duke and it more than lived up to my expectation. Staff friendly and chatty and keen to give you the best experience of their restaurant. Food is superb and beautifully presented. Also appreciated that you could reasonably “upgrade” your Itison voucher to purchase the very best of the a la carte menu. Superb. We will be back.

Object to Price of meal Itison at top of bill then paying % + a charity donation. Had a tea and a coffee £6.00 bill was over £17.00. Notice DRG do this too. Other restaurants don't charge gratuity for 2 people dining. Complained and both were removed. Put off buying vouchers.
