Tranquil break

We had a lovely couples break at Woodlands. It was clean, in a great location and so peaceful. We loved the hot tub. Nice touches like homemade cookies. We loved the surrounding area. It was lovely to see the stars at night and hear the birds in the morning. We would definitely come back.
Great ‘staycation’ for a few days with everything you need at finger tips, great way to relax and decompress.

Yes we enjoyed our stay, everything as described, had a lovely time. Staff really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Hot tub was amazing and one of the better ones we’ve been in as it held heat extremely well so weren’t noticing temp drop/change

Small space was cute. Clean. Run down fittings and furniture compared to stay 3 years ago which was disappointing. Was our second visit so didn’t waste money on the extras this time. Don’t feel it was as special as our first visit, lovely area and gorgeous drive around the area. Would recommend stay with the discount voucher. Has a staffed bar now - not very relaxing listening to staff banging about stocking up and complaining about other staff members.

The only thing I found disappointing is that despite booking a Seaview lodge with a hot tub for 2 night there were no dressing gowns in the room and when I asked about it the next day I was told I had to hire one. If I was told that on checking in I would have done so but didn't seem worth it for the one night I had left. I think with the prices of the lodges 2 dressing gowns should be supplied as standard. Also the next day I changed my breakfast order and asked for a towel change. I got the new towels but breakfast was still the same and my order had not been revised.
golf was free on the first day as with the voucher but on the second day was quite pricy for 9 holes even though the course was empty. the hot tub didn't work on the second day it kept saying LOC and we had no idea how to get it working again and no one around.
