Had afternoon tea and I would say it’s one of the best I’ve had.
The sandwiches and sausage roll were very tasty and the cakes and scones were delicious.
Even though we had a voucher the waiter couldn’t do enough for us. Asked us, numerous times, if we needed anything else.
Disappointing, service good, but presentation poorly.

We have had better at other not so elegant places. Why was the cups and saucers not nice China, instead of everyday chunky white. Sandwiches. Dry with crusts still on.
Frankly, an ordinary tea in own house would be better. Will not recommend to anyone.

Afternoon tea was nice enough, however the carpet around the table needed a good hoover and my seat had old food stuck on it. Service was on the slow side, we had to ask for more milk and refills of tea/coffee. Marmalade and apricot jam were served with our scones, we had to ask for strawberry jam. Staff were friendly, but attention to detail was lacking. Overall it was disappointing for Thainstone House 😕

Unfortunately they did not give me what I asked for when it was booked.
I wanted a Vegetarian, neither of us wanting chocolate, and the other no fish.
They came out with a “normal” afternoon tea, when we told them one had to be vegetarian, the apologised and came back with a much smaller selection of all vegetarian.

Asked for no fish or blue cheese only to be giving fish on our sandwiches 🤬 wasn’t impressed at all & we even had to slice the butter of the sandwiches at first we thought it was cheese it was on that thick , awful 😞

Our afternoon tea was amazing. The food was plentiful, and absolutely delicious. The service was great too, and the staff were very friendly..I couldnt fault anything.
