Very much enjoyed our visit and had an outstanding afternoon tea which was excellent value with the Itison voucher. A good selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones - service was very good and efficient and we very much enjoyed our visit - we will most certainly be back

After reading the reviews given from previous customers i booked this as a treat for my husbands birthday. Perhaps it was because we went on a Monday but I can honestly say I was very disappointed. The service was fine and both waiters were lovely but the sandwiches and scones left a lot to be desired. We were asked if we had any dietary requirements, which we don't. The sandwiches were, Tuna Mayo, Egg Mayo and Cheese Mayo. The scones were very dry and when my husband tried to cut one open it fell to pieces. The cakes were fine.
I am very sorry to leave this report but it certainly was not what i expected.

Restaurant looked nice, very busy so I'm assuming the food is good. Afternoon tea was poor.
Virtually no filling in sandwiches these were also a little stale. scones were undercooked. Pastry used for little tarts was awful, wet and soggy not home made. Tasteless.
Dishes being served looked great so I probably wld be tempted to go again and try the main menu.
