This was our third visit and we invited some friends to join us as we had enjoyed our previous stays. The surroundings are very peaceful and tranquil, rooms very clean and staff very friendly but unfortunately the food this time was disappointing. My friend and I ordered the chicken which was lukewarm when it arrived, we sent it back, when returned the plate was very hot but not the food and now rather dry! We were offered an alternative, my friend chose the pork dish but it was rather tough. They did give us a choice of dessert for no additional cost but as we had recommended this hotel to our friends it put a damper on our stay.
Breakfast, my bacon was burnt , my partner chose eggs Benedict but bun was very soggy!

Hotel was lovely and set in its own, well-kept grounds. Lots of nice walks nearby. All the staff were very friendly. Nice food. The room was big and comfortable. The only downside was the dog barking next door to us but that was not the hotel's fault.

We’ve stayed here previously, but this time our friends stayed with us. They loved it too! We were a bit disappointed to be given a smaller room than in the past, however they more than made it up to us by giving us dinner on both nights!
