Great weekend in excellent accommodation with good food

We have stayed here before and returned because we really enjoyed our last visit . We were not disappointed. We stayed with our one year old golden retriever who was also made very welcome with treats and towels already in the room for her ..
We had a large ground floor room with great access to the front door and grass area .
Breakfast and dinner were good quality and well presented . Excellent range of beers and cocktails at the bar .
Staff were friendly and helpful and very attentive even when busy .
My only observation would be in relation to furniture. A very minor detail but worth mentioning . Beautiful small wooden tables at the bedside but way too small and low to serve as bedside tables .
Tea and ground coffee provision was good and extra milk available however only one small cafetière provided . A larger cafetière would allow for 2 cups to be made at the same time .
We certainly plan to return as the hotel is well situated for local walks along the river and into the town . Also an excellent base for touring local area .

We had a wonderful room. The staff are always very pleasant. Breakfast was nice and the evening meals were lovely. Really like the fact that you can now have half portions of some meals. Enjoyed coffee and cake instead of a dessert and that was a nice change too. It is so central for day trips to Braemar/Ballater/Tarland etc.

This is a lovely comfortable place, nice rooms , good food and very friendly staff, what more can you ask for? Oh yes good price also, ha ha. We have visited 3 times over last couple of years and will definitely come back again. Near Braemar and Ballater so also nice places to visit near by. Great place for lovely short break , highly recommend the Boat Inn.

we've stayed at the boat inn a few tines, Aboyne and surrounding areas beautiful the boat inn have . lovely modern rooms , great choices for food. staff lovely and helpful.
