I'd never been here before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Walking through the entrance to the hotel, i was in awe. The foyer is stunning. Walking through to the restaurant, it just got better. It is so tastefully decorated. There's even an indoor pond with koi Carp fish. I was there for an afternoon tea & I was so thrilled when it arrived. The choice of sandwiches & cakes was amazing. I'm extremely fussy & it was the one place that I've had afternoon tea & there were no egg sandwiches. They're the only ones I'd normally eat. The young server overhead me talking about there being no egg sandwiches & immediately came back with a round of egg sandwiches with absolutely no fuss whatsoever. She was fantastic. We were always asked if we'd like more tea or coffee, so we'd never go thirsty. The staff were some of the best I've ever encountered. Very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We'd come back in a heartbeat & are looking to come back for dinner very soon. I've already been telling friends & family to come here themselves. I'd most definitely recommend this hotel 100%. A worthy 5* in my eyes.
The only small thing I didn't like was when I went to the toilets. Walking through the door, the smell of chlorine was really strong. It caught in my throat. It was like being at the swimming baths. It was a shame about this as the toilets, like the rest of the hotel, were beautiful.
