Didn't know what to expect as never been to a basketball match before. Thought it was just a nice thing to do with my grandsons but I think I enjoyed it just as much as them! Can't wait to go back!

My family and I (2A 2C - Girl 11, Boy 10) attended the recent Glasgow Gladiators game, and for our first time, I can safely say, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I was concerned as the game fell on Mother's Day, and it's not the typical experience she'd expect. There was food, merchandise, a bar, and fun for all the kids. Mascots, cheerleaders and the players making themselves available.
During the game, you're kept entertained by the basketball (we won, which helped), but crowd participation is actively encouraged.
One thing that would improve it is having separate practise areas for the different-aged kids. It felt a little intense for our pre-teenagers, and even just the height of the hoop made it a challenge.
Just good old-fashioned family fun. The game officially takes 40 minutes, and we arrived at 3:15, 45 minutes before tip-off. We didn't leave until 6pm and had an absolute ball. Can't wait to go back.
