The first floor restaurant where we were served was a little tired but don't let that put you off. The afternoon tea was really lovely and the staff were probably the friendliest we've experienced in a long time.

All was as expected from previous visits. The range of sandwiches was changed to suit us. A beautiful array of small cakes. Endless tea and coffee. The only slight flaw was that the scones were a little overbaked. Attentive, efficient and approachable waiting staff.

Excellent choice of food and replacements quickly found for two of our party who didn't fancy coronation chicken sandwiches. Freshly baked scones and lovely cakes.

From arrival at the reception, to going up to the restaurant staff were all very friendly. Staff were very attentive.
Afternoon tea was delicious.
I have another afternoon tea booked for next month and looking forward to that too. ?
